All new clients at Communitalk Speech Pathology start with a consultation and speech assessment. If you’ve had an assessment within the last six months, we may not require a full reassessment.
This initial assessment allows us to set personalised communication goals and tailor ongoing sessions to address your child’s specific speech and language needs.

Supporting NDIS & Private Clients with Speech Therapy
Invoices from Communitalk Speech Pathology may be eligible for a rebate through your private health fund. We recommend contacting your provider to confirm whether your level of cover applies to speech therapy services.
We also accept clients who are self-managed or plan-managed under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Additionally, we provide services under the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Medicare items (formerly Enhanced Primary Care or EPC) on the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS).

Online Speech Therapy Services Available
Online and Telehealth services have been a core part of our offerings since early 2020. Since then, we have successfully delivered hundreds of therapy consultation services via Telehealth.
Our clinical team is highly trained and equipped to provide quality services through this platform. We have found this model of evidence-based service delivery to be both effective and efficient. It allows us to complement in-person services, especially when families are unable to attend sessions physically.
